UNIBEN extends resumption for staff, students
The management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), yesterday, extended the resumption date for staff and students until further notice due to recent cases of COVID-19 in the state.
A statement by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, made available to newsmen in Benin City, said: “In the wake of the continuous uncertainties regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and in line with the position of the Federal Ministry of Education that no date has been fixed for the reopening of schools, UNIBEN has extended resumption until further notice.
“However, members of staff are to keep working from home.
“It is important to point out that staff on essential duties, including health care, security, fire service and utilities (electricity and water) are to continue to make the necessary sacrifice observing all the safety rules.”
