UNILAG to unveil ‘Your Feedback Hub’ app for complaint resolution

The University of Lagos (UNILAG)

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced plans to launch a Quality Assurance and Servicom (QAS) application, ‘Your Feedback Hub,’ designed to provide students and members of staff a new direct channel to report service-related complaints and improve response time across the institution.

Director of the Quality Assurance and Servicom Unit, Prof. Olufemi Saibu, disclosed this yesterday during a media briefing to mark the university’s 2026 International Customer Service Week, themed “The Extra Mile.”

Saibu said that the application, developed by UNILAG students, would be unveiled today, enabling members of the university community to report service failures and provide feedback digitally.

He said the initiative was aimed at reducing delays associated with the existing complaint process and improving the university’s response to issues raised by students and members of staff of the institution.

According to him, the digital platform would allow complaints to be monitored by relevant officials through a dashboard, making it easier to track issues and take action.

He further added that the development of the application was part of the university’s broader efforts to strengthen quality assurance and improve service delivery.

Saibu, while speaking on the achievements recorded by the unit for the 2025/2026, said it audited 113 lecture halls and rooms across the university’s 19 faculties before the commencement of the academic session, assessing seating, cooling, ventilation, lightings, projectors and writing boards, among others.

He, however, disclosed that the university also launched dedicated hotlines in January 2026 to assist members of the university community in critical situations.

The hotlines, he said, received 24-hour calls and connected callers to units, including security, the fire station, medical centre, student affairs, safeguarding and counselling, adding that the university conducted an anonymous student experience survey in September, with 241 students participating.

Saibu said that as part of the Customer Service Week, 38 faculties, officers, members of staff, students, student groups, partners and guests would be recognised for going the extra mile in their various roles.

He said the awards cover 12 categories, including faculties, faculty examination officers, Dean of the Year, deputy heads of units, non-academic and academic staff, quality assurance officers, student app developers, student groups, student leaders, external partners and sponsors, and distinguished guests.
