USP unveils details of LIFANIMA 2019, calls for entries
For the third year, organisers of Lagos International Festival of Animation (LIFANIMA), a platform that brings Africa’s animation community together for cross fertilization of ideas, recognition of excellent work and strategizing on ways to transform the animation business in the country, has announced that this year’s edition will hold on Thursday June 6, at Freedom Park, Lagos.
According to Chief Executive Officer of USP Brand Management and Creator of the Turtle Taido animation series, Muyiwa Kayode, LIFANIMA’s objectives include to promote rapid development of the animation industry, improve the movie industry through increased inclusion of animation content, and provide a platform for the promotion of local animators and development of the quality of animation and to expose animators to the latest technologies in animation hardware and software. He also explained that the festival would feature screening of selected works, award presentation, networking and entertainment, urging interested animators and producers to submit their works in various categories on or before April 30, 2019 while selected works would be screened at the festival and participants will be informed on or before May 31.
He added that forms are available and can submitted at USP Brand Management office in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
