The Vice Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Prof. Francis Otunta has hinged having a better society on balancing of things in the polity.

Speaking at a forum by the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Women Association (MOUAUWA), Otunta said women’s rights are incontrovertible.

The VC, represented by his deputy (Administration), Prof. Joy Nwabueze called for balancing of things to have a better society.

Commenting on the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day celebration, Balancing for Better, Otunta urged women to consider it a wake-up call to rise against injustice, violence and other restrictions placed on them by society and culture.
