Victor Regal hosts African Royal Leadership Fellowship 2023 in Kigali, Rwanda

A youth-driven non-governmental organisation, Upsurge Leadership Foundation, popularly known as Upsurge Global is set to hold the 2023 African Leadership Fellowship in Kigali, Rwanda.
The African Royal Leadership Fellowship will be a 2-day mentorship program which features executive masterclasses and workshops in creative writing, public speaking, design thinking, technology sessions and lots more.
The Fellowship is themed: “INNOVATION AND DISRUPTION: Exploring Entrepreneurship in the Age of Technology”, and will be held between the 27th – 28th of May, 2023.
The Executive Director at Upsurge Global, Aliu Toluwani Victor (Victor Regal) said the organisation recognizes that many young people in Africa lack employability skills stating that employability takes more than just theoretical knowledge of an industry.
“Now, more than ever, employers are looking for candidates that have networking skills, soft skills, a strong personal brand and, most importantly, industry work experience. And with over 60% of Africa’s population under the age of 25, Africa stands the chance of exponential transformation if only we can tap into the strength of our youths,” Victor said.
“Over the years, Upsurge Global positions itself as a unit set up to foster unity, progress and identity across Africa, and this year is no different. Fellows selected for The African Royal Leadership Fellowship 2023 is a conglomeration of Africans from across five countries; Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan.”
Upsurge Global has invited experienced business and social entrepreneurs, founders of international organizations, seasoned public speakers to provide mentorship for the fellows.
They include Kelvin Uduma (Agronomist, Barogu Farm Enterprise & Data Analyst), Nigeria. Amina Umuhoza (CEO of SAYE Company LTD), Rwanda. Joshua Tahinduka (Professional Skills Lead, TEP, ANDELA), Rwanda. Alfred Collins (Co-Founder, Ascent Innovation Lab), Nigeria. Mariam Adebayo Esq (Founder, Madeochills), Nigeria.
Others are Hammed Kayode Alabi (Founder, Kayode Alabi Leadership and Career Initiative), United Kingdom. Dada Samson Esq (Intellectual Property & Technology Lawyer), United States of America, Iyanu Aliu Business Manager, Moni Africa.
