Osun State Police Command, yesterday, said it has not yet received any report that Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of a former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, was attacked.

Fayose had announced on his verified social media handle that he was attacked by gunmen and many people were abducted in Gbongan.

The story of how Fayose was allegedly attacked in Gbongan, had gone viral on social media.

Also in the report, Mr. Fayose claimed the incident happened in Gbongan (Oyo State), but Gbongan, is the Headquarters of Ayedaade Local Council in Osun State.

He also alleged that many people were abducted by suspected gunmen during the attack.

Fayose further posted pictures of his vehicle that was damaged by his attackers.

Reacting, the spokesperson for Osun Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, said no report was made at any division of the Command in the state regarding the alleged attack.

“Facebook is not a police complaint/report station. If we want more inquiries from him about the incident, there are lots of questions that we will want to ask him (Fayose) that can’t be asked on Facebook,” Opalola added.
