The Wellbeing Foundation Africa has announced the expansion of its MamaCare Antenatal and Postnatal Education program in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja. Supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) towards improving nutrition, the programme will be reaching four more Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 28 healthcare facilities.
In addition, the foundation has strengthened its midwifery workforce that will help the program reach an additional 11,000 mothers and newborns yearly, with inter-personal maternity care, education and counsel.
