President Goodluck Jonathan said on Saturday that he conceded defeat in the March 28 presidential elections in obedience to the laws of the country.

Jonathan was defeated in the election by the candidate of All Progressives Congress, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.

He said this while fielding questions from newsmen at Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa shortly after he cast his votes in the State Assembly polls.

“I am a Nigerian and I am Goodluck Jonathan.  I feel that as a nation you respect your laws; I am quite pleased to respect the laws of the land,’’ he told newsmen.

Jonathan also said that “as a nation, we are quite happy we are consolidating in our democratic efforts.

“The key thing is that citizens must be ready to change government properly. We must do elections every four years,’’ he said.

Jonathan said turnout for the election was low in Bayelsa because “we are voting for only the State House of Assembly. There is no governorship election in Bayelsa.

`In some other states where they have governorship elections the stakes will be higher; turnout may be better; the level of mobilisation may be quite high.

“But here it is just the State House of Assembly and that is why you don’t see that kind of enthusiasm and so on and so forth”.

Jonathan said he was happy he had done his civic duty, adding that he expected others to do the same.

Reacting to feelers he received about the polls nationwide he said he knew that elections were going on well.

“Yes you will expect that in a country as big as Nigeria there may be issues in some places but I think that on the overall the elections are going on wel,” he said.

On why Dame Patience Jonathan was absent at the Assembly polls, the president said both of them boarded different flights, adding that  she would arrive at Bayelsa later.

“We have been expecting her; we hope she will soon be here. The only thing is that she may miss the accreditation period,’’ he said.

Mr. Jona, the truth is that you were defeated. If not, why can’t you challenge the results? You tore PDP to pieces due to your actions!

For God sake the best Party with the present Leader WINS not his fault , Nigerian want change they got it , he cant prove beyond reasonable doubt why he should continue alright, We saw the writting on the wall, any walking dead person leading APC would beat PDP if the Jonathan is the leader period…Wait for the next four years to see what happen with the New Government , of course NO begging for excuse for another four more years if they cant perform,, nope RIP, next Government period….. Good Move 4 Nigerian

The new Government is going no where, some of you speak like little children who believe in what their fathers always said.Nigeria did not want change,it was a misdirected change, the northerner want the president by all means and that is what they got. They stated the fight from New PDP to decamping process to APC.They wanted the presidency from the PDP and when they could,t get it in PDP they went to APC using the Yoruba’s to actualize their demand. The west will see the handwriting on the wall very soon.Don’t forget that the structure of APC is till very cheeky You have Buhari from CPC and the national Chairman from ANPP and the Vice President is the only one from ACN that metamorphoses into APC.The internal political placement is problem that is awaiting the survival of the party.Who take what and who get that is a major threat waiting to explode.we should not be too happy about the victory of the APC Yet.Jonathan is a victim of the Northern agenda. The issue is not about Jonathan,Obasenjo was only playing the script of the North.whatever he did was a show of sham and disrespect for a party that brought him from prison to grace. The Yoruba’s are always know for an act of betrayal they are never trustworthy.Another four years is around the corner we shall see the through co lour of the northerner. It is Jonathan today it will be the turn of the Yoruba man tomorrow.we are washing.

GEJ should still be commended for conceding as he did. He has set a good precedent to follow in future Presidential elections in Nigeria and in Africa.

    • Author’s gravatar

Thank you. only few African do that. I am proud he did, He made Nigerians proud outside Nigeria, I told people we have a more mature president during the election to set example which has never happen in Nigeria.

I thank God for blessing us with genuine and credible personality as Jonathan Goodluck. Buhari did not do this in 2011 when he was badly beaten by Jonathan Goodluck and led to senseless deaths of innocent Nigerians. Only enemies of our dear Nation will not applaud this fantastic democratic display.

Let us consider the fact that Jonathan said what his party had been doing before now was buying and selling of votes. Under that condition, a loser is bound to kick. This time around the elections had been adjudged substantially free and credible and less of buying and selling of votes. I can assure you GEJ himself knew he was going to lose before the election (read what Fasheun, the OPC man said about the six-week postponement); so he was wise to prepare a soft landing for himself by the acceptance.

Ebele Goodluck Jonathan, you do not have a choice other than to conceded. If you hadn’t, you would have been consumed in it.

    • Author’s gravatar

When a person does something right, don’t you think you should commend him for it? For this simple act, i think i can call president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the FATHER OF PEACE. if he had done otherwise, do you know how many innocent souls it will cost? think right amd stop been sentimental.

But he said the truth, I owe GEJ no praise for conceding it’s his civil duty. The people rejected his governing style. He has been personally marking his scorecard whenever he pleases for the past 6yrs and nobody praised us for accepting his docile statistics now we have marked I owe him no praise for accepting the result.

          • Author’s gravatar

Yes I did. I voted an inept, non performing government that is serving the elites to the detriment of the masses. And patiently waiting for another four years to pass my verdict on the incoming.

    • Author’s gravatar

your Buhari, what did he do in the last election, don’t care if people were killed, he even told them to kill. I respect Jonathan now more than Buhari. in defeat he accepted he was defeated. Did Buhari so that? He could have said the election was rigged and still leave the stage but only God knows what could have followed. People that got a better home up bring shows from how they deal with issue outside.

    • Author’s gravatar

You are right. If he hadn’t, dogs and baboons would have soaked in blood, as promised in some quarters. NowNow that the bloodsuckers have been pacified, we can all dwell in peace.

thank you for your understanding but so many Nigerians do not expect this so easy like you did,but the election won last year when evidence is ripe that u.s is meddling in our local politics through back door from apc and his main sponsors then you would have wax strong to give Nigerians strong faith in you, buhari and his born to rule brothers has started looting this company to the brim again.nigeria is a fake nation ,negotiation is needed urgently according to international law on humanity and nations.

And he was ungrateful, The south south people said it was God that brought him to power and not man but when Obj was presenting him to the north as a worthy son and he should be allowed, many had no clue, when Obj talks he talks back that when I knew Jonathan has no understanding……….God appoint a man and he makes a man annoits him, despite Davids appointment by heaven God still use Samuel to annoit him……
When Sauls oil dried up by the reason of disobedient and he was rejected by God Saul ran to Samuel “why” and Samuel told him he had been rejected, that was the exact case of Jonathan by the time he arn back to OBJ he was told he had been rejected. SOOOOORRRRRRRY E

I just wonder what type of schooling you attend where you learn nothing but hatred of your fellow human beings. You hate Buhari and all Northerners from your tone for no reason at all except that while you allege Northerners claim of born to rule we say you are born to hate.

      • Author’s gravatar

Not born to rule but born to misrule. Jonathan’s government did more for northerners than all the northern presidents and governors combined, yet because of a northern insurgency that has long standing socio-economic causes that have been left unattended by northern presidents, governors as well as the equally useless traditional and religious rulers he was pushed out of office. Even if Buhari manages to rout Boko Haram, their ideology will survive and the root causes of their support will remain unless northern leaders begin to do what they have failed to do for several hundred years – provide (practical) education for the majority; create an environment where trade and enterprise can flourish for the common man; provide health care facilities for all; protect the rights of children – particularly girls. It is only because many Nigerians look at problems in complete isolation that they fail to understand this fact. There is nothing unique about Boko Haram, they are just another group of disgruntled young men who have adopted middle eastern barbarity to express their justifiable frustrations.

As to the APC, I am glad that there appear to be two viable political parties – what disturbs me is a) Buhari as president b) Tinubu. Buhari was the same man claiming that an attack on Boko Haram was an attack on the North; he refused to speak up about Abacha and his corruption; and now he is in the same camp as Tinubu yet is claiming that he will fight corruption. How do you fight corruption when you are surrounded by thieves like Tinubu and El-Rufai?

        • Author’s gravatar

I see. There is a very low treshhold for wisdom in your community of peers. I can’t understand how you come to the idea that Jonathan was pushed out of office. Did you vote? Others also voted the same way you did. And in such games, somebody wins. Jonathan has been there for six years, and for another two as a second -in-command. He enjoyed an unprecendented goodwill of majority of Nigerians. Remaining in office for another four years , which you hatefully crave but which did not materialize , has been the reason for stone-throwing against the oppoistion party and all of us who fancy that wasting ten precious years of our exisitence under a clueless government was not the right thing. A child born on the day of Jonathan’s first inauguration as Vice Presidet would have been 10 years if he had won the election, and by that time the country woyuld have been drained of energy and juice of existence: no school to go to, no electricity; no hospitals; no food in the market (or no money to buy it); and the country would have become a joke among African nations who should of necessity, be respectful of our status as a country. And, by the way, where in the constitution is it written that a single man, whatebvver the circumstance, should be president for ten years? Where is the precedent. Even under military dispensation, Babangida had to vacate the throne after eight years.
And you raised some fundamental issues of social significance with which I agree – child marriage. But that is something that has been long in existence that should be eradicated because of the health implications. But then, that requires policy that could be addressed at the national level – it is not a blame game, it is an social-education issue. Do you think that the complicity of the congress play a part in its continuation and festering? Sharia issue was raised at the constitiution drafting stage in 1978. The southerners, all of them, acquiescedto it by keeping silent for political expedienncy. The same issue came up at the Constituent assembly for 1979 constitution and it has remained so. It may be your concern, but what about the leladership? Did Jonathan, or OBJ before him, say a thing about it? No. Even Alhaji Muazu, Governor of Bauchi State, the man who asked that a woman be stoned to death because of adultery remmains, till now, the Chairman of PDP. Cry me a river on this issue and I’ll give you a piece of broken basket. And I remember, a girl from Ibadan, indeed, the daughter of Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu (AKA Peculiar Mess) was invaded by Nnamdi Azikwe back then and she bore him a child. Mother and child are still alive today. So don’t point fingers to the direction of Arewa. a lot is happening even in the land of the rising sun. Those who enjoy the rising sun are the ones who stay longer when the sun is overhead. Happy New Sunrise.

          • Author’s gravatar

Childs Rights Act 2003, states that marriage before 18 years of age is prohibited – it was a Federal proposal that has been signed into law by all the southern states but as of yet no northern state has signed it into law, not one. When it was suggested that men like Senator Yerima should be dealt with
as criminals Nigerians were told that it would infringe upon the
religious/cultural rights of northerners. You cannot blame anyone else. When Jonathan wanted to come down on Boko Haram he was warned that do so would be to attack the north.
The issue of education is a serious problem in northern Nigeria where children are sent to complete strangers who then put these children on the street to beg. This is where a significant number of Boko Haram fighters have been drawn from. Jonathan has built schools for these almajiri, a feat that no northern governor or president has done. I know that good things are happening in Kano and Niger but the other states are languishing behind and the people are blaming the Jonathan administration instead of holding their own incompetent governors to account.

          • Author’s gravatar

Anybody saying Jonathan was PUSHED OUT may not be far from the truth because a right think person who is concern about the state of Nigeria should be worried about the level of incompetency of the President who wouldnt take advise form wise men except form Okupe and his likes, the SS and SE are crying foul now about his removal, some are saying he has done so much for the north, didnt he say he has done so much for the SW and he confessed he didnt do anything for his people and that he is not a sectional president when he campaigned at the stadium Amechi struggled to build despite the hatred from the state and kinsmen, yet billions of naira was alocated to the ministry of Niger Delta and run by Orubebe, that ministry was constituted at the uprising of militant criminality in SS who were caliming to be agitating fo the underdevelopment of ND, What did Orubebe and his cohots do with the money and minitry budget for Six years, what development was carried out in Nd by this ministry, yet when Amechi was telling Jonathan that it is the time of the SS people to enjoy development now they have a president from that region, lot of blind unthinking people were saying Amechi is insulting the President he has no respect, Many of the so called militant who claimed to be agitating now have investment outside the country instead of the development they calim they were carrying guns for. its a big shame that the ND people are never sincere to themselves they only celebrate people who will share money for them and when the money is finished they cry that they are not developed and negleted. Orji of Abia state spend lots of money on AIT showing his developments in the state and yet the capital of the rich hub of the biafra stinks in dirts and dilapidated states road, The day the Ibo oil rich billionair was invited by the Governor to see his development strides in Abia, he simply disgarced the mani n public instead of singing his praise, by saying Abia stinks are there no more elders in abia again, the second day his speech was the BREAKING NEWS in the sun newspaper, that week the Sun editor was assasinated WhY BECAUSE HE ONLY WROTE ABOUT THE TRUTH SOMEONE ELSE HAD SAID.. The day I went to Abia form Portharcout I cried refused to buy what I went for because we had to use the rail road through the inner community to access the popular Park and Ariaria market, Yet that is the JAPAN OR CHINE OF AFRICA….

umar be fair we claim to be one nigeria isn,t it?but since the end of the civil war in1970 which genocide was commited on the igbos, through the help of great britain and russia with the yorubas as the major players, power has been shifting hands from hausa fulani to yorubas with the igbos been sidelined out of nigerian leadership,we claim to be one nigeria while better part of the country is been kept out of the corridors of decision making, how then do you expect somebody from that of the country not hating those that kept them from participating in governance of their country for over fiftyfive years,we are all humans beings ask yourself if you were to be an igbo person will you take it uptill today or you belive igbos has no choice anyway they just have to take any shit you gave to them and be quiet and keep loving you?think about it brother the educated igbos has nothing against the hausa fulani because they know where all the problems in nigeria is coming from,in the past, today, and in the future we do know.

Jonathan has a track record of playing by the rules. He has not gone out of his way to have journalists imprisoned or to stop information from being shared. Unlike Buhari who is now claiming to be a changed specimen.

        • Author’s gravatar

He has no choice to play by the rules because he cant afford to play pranks with the deadly Rtd Generals, but after his campaign of hate and abuses, ethnic sectionalism and all have you, then found out that the ball has turned against him , He will have no choice than to pipe low if he had done otherwise, that is when Nigerians will know who the real man of the game is.Jonathan from beginiing cannnot handle this country its huge, huge too big for him. He was a tomboy being tossed around by who ever has the chance to get close to him. Jonathan is a product of bad advisers. He should be happy because he has nothing to loose let him go and continue his sectional politics in the SS and SE. and play around with his loots.

      • Author’s gravatar

You forgot it was Jonathan and PDP that gave you a card reader and the free and fair election. How can they give you card reader and campaign against it at same time? PDP and Jonathan are the through champions of our democracy.

        • Author’s gravatar

Jonathan did’t give us card reader. (GEJ is not that smart) It was Jega’s master stroke. Give credit to whom it’s due, if anything, PDP and presidency tried to scuttle the plan, including denying its funding for a long time. Check your facts.

          • Author’s gravatar

See your small mind. Who gave you Jega? GEJ and PDP did.

          • Author’s gravatar

Well since you want me to broaden my small mind, let’s start: Under whose watch did 250 girls go missing? Under whose government did unemployment skyrocketed? Electricity output went down, while billions spent on electricity went up! Foreign reserve depleted, even when for most part of years past, crude was selling selling at record high. Under whose shoeless government did corrupt/ and convicted criminals continue to parade the corridors of power. “Stealing is not corruption”, Mr shoeless doesn’t “give a damn”. Let’s give dumbo and his hippo wife credit for highlighting tribal/ religious divisive politics. Mr PHD will not show us his thesis, (that Obasanjo said he never completed) yet connive with the military to hide BUHARI’s certificate which later resurfaced from the same Army after he won the election.
As if GEJ suggested card reader to Jega. Maybe in your dream.
My people die for lack of knowledge.

          • Author’s gravatar

Are you on something? How old are you? You need the services of a psychiatrics.

          • Author’s gravatar

OK, now you have Buhari, he must produce the Chibock girls alive in one month or face mockery, and my electric power must not flicker.
Foolish people, your trains are running again after 30 years, do you think GEJ used stones to pay for the repairs of more than 700 miles of dead rail tracks, Stations, locomotives, signals etc?
Abuja to Kaduna now has the first standard tracks in Nigeria, 14 Universities and 130 Almajiri schools.
So many roads rehabilitated! All airports were renovated for the first time ever and new termini being built! Nigeria is producing more rice than it imports and almost self sufficient!
I’m not interested in politicians or politics, my own is what you do for us the masses. I don’t care who runs the show, it’s the show that matters. How well is it run?
Some mad people do not want Naira devalued and same people complain when the foreign reserve is spent support Naira value.
It’s my turn to have a good laugh. He can control the press but he will never control the social media on internet.
We will soon see how many people he can employ despite his promises. Only gullible Nigerians will believe such trash. Look at the budget, it’s 70 percent recurrent and debt servicing/repayment all ready.
As for foreign direct investment, he’ll have to prove himself before anyone will believe he is a changed man.
I challenge Buhari to do half of GEJ’s projects in 4 years or he’ll be booted out at the next election. And woe betides him if he cancels the 2nd Niger bridge and Coastal rail contracts.
            I dey laugh oh.

          • Author’s gravatar

I can see that your IQ is too low to reason as a normal person. Otherwise a you expecting Buhari to clear all the mess that GEJ created over 5 years plus in one month? By now you should have known that GEJ and Corruption are both sides of the same coin. That is why it took GEJ as CiC 4 years to realize that the military did not have enough training and equipment to fight BH upon the huge amount appropriated to the military since 2011 up to 2014. Do you know how much PDP gov has spent on electricity for the past 16 years? If you are not shameless, can you mention one of the members of GEJ administration that has traveled by the train you mentioned? For Six years GEJ govt did not employ up to 500 workers. Do you remember the Immigration employment disaster? One shameful legacy that GEJ wants to leave is his mathematical equation in which the minority is greater than the majority. Remember 16>19 (Nigerian Govs Forum), 5>18 (Rivers State), 5>18 (Edo State), and lately 7>than 19 (Ekiti State). The Naira value depreciated deeply because the economy has been very much mismanaged. Under GEJ non of our refineries (4 in nos) ever worked and Nigeria is blessed with the highest quality of Crude Oil only second to North Sea oil in Europe. All our petroleum requirements are imported. Yet stealing of crude oil increased up to 60,000 barrels per day. For about 6 years of high oil price (>$100/barrel) we could not diversify our economy.

          • Author’s gravatar

Ha ha ha, the chicken has come to roost. Does the President have to use the trains? GEJ had enough sense to realise it’s about the masses who cannot use the airports and have no cars. Which is priority, Almajiri schools for the poor, universities for those whose children can not go to cambridge or Oil refinery. By the way what has government got to do with what should be a private enterprise? APC fought against removal of subsidies, now the fight is in your camp. It will take a mad investor to put money in your refineries at the current selling price. Who bought all the functioning turbines? Is it your 1960 turbines that are working now? But for Obasho and GEJ will you have any functioning turbines? They keep talking before they think, now it’s our time to see your game play. Blame game will not work. My brother congratulations for taking the baton. We pray for your success but you are on the hot sit now. Please stop using our foreign reserve to create artificial Naira value, when depleted you will end up quickly with the IMF again. Think masses, trains, almajiri schools, farmers, technical colleges and not waste the very thin public funds on a refinery. Enable the private sector to pick it up. Government and business don’t mix well. Waging war on corruption alone will not bring in development, enable the police, EFCC and the judiciary. Shall I say good luck to us ? • Author’s gravatar

Are you saying this election was credible with underage voting in the North? The two million plus votes Buhari used in defeating Jonathan came from only two states and that is Kano and Katsina. Jonathan is just a gentleman thats why he conceded. OBJ would not have and the baboon and dog man wouldn’t have also.. There is no election in Nigeria that has not been heavilly rigged apart from June 12 that was rig minimally

      • Author’s gravatar

What was transparent about this election, really? The only transparency is the fact that Mr President was not desperate to hold on to power. Can you objectively take time to analysis the votes from the north? To you, were those free and fair?

        • Author’s gravatar

How come you say GEJ was not desperate? Why did he force INEC to postpone the elections for 6 weeks from 14th February to 28th March 2015 using his Security Chiefs? Why did he turn the S/W to Dollar market making nocturnal visits to the traditional rulers with dollar filled Ghana must go bags, awarding security contracts to ethnic militias like OPC, MASSOB, ND Militants etc less than 6 weeks to elections? May be you have a different meaning to the word “desperation”.

ONE is Gov. Suswam of Benue State. He cud not pay salary or carrying development projects that add values to living but busy engaging in the frugality. GMB will for sure send some to prison, no doubt.

GMB said he will not go after those who have looted the country or caught up with misappropriation but will hold accountable anyone who err during his administration starting on May 29, 2015.

My bro there are difference between being nice and beign weak, In GEJ’S case he was WEAK TO A FAULT because a man cannot not be too nice to allow his niceness to rub him off of either his ambition or dream…..and also sorrounded by Idiots in governement………

President GEJ has set the standard in democratic norms by accepting defeat as incumbent president despite his enormous power to turndown the result. Let Buhari and APC also accept defeat when it is their turn. I hope General Buhari will continues with the good and numerous projects/policies of President GEJ and do more, we don’t want Nigeria to go backward again. Now that the trains are running, we are the biggest economy in Africa with highest FDI, with reduce importation of Food, with massive funding of Education, Health, Agriculture, ICT, Environment and entire sectors of our economy. Let General Buhari consolidate on the gains of this presence administration. We are watching and waiting. God bless Nigeria.

What enormous power does he has, he cant afford to play with his life or do otherwise that is the reason he had to concede. somebody wuld have advise him to go in peace or be forced to leave.. He was the president but there are people who either destroys or makes things happen behind the scene…. many of you who comments have not yet realise who the game player is……. discover who and tou will realise he took the best decision to enjoy his life and family and also enjoy his relevance.

This may not be the whole truth for the following reasons: the eyes of the world especially the super powers have been on Nigeria towards the election period, so Mr. Jonathan must have been jittery of repercussions that would follow refusal to concede and accept result of election, coupled with this is the fear of prosecution by the ICC, the international criminal court is now a check of arbitrariness of African sit tight leaders, t is of note that madam Peace has already been reported to ICC for instigating violence in Nigeria. The social media has also infuse fear into Mr. Jonathan, nothing seems to be hidden again, so Mr. Jonathan was scared of going to jail. Taylor former president of Liberia is presently serving 50 years jail term for fuelling wanton killing and maiming of innocent Liberians. Judging from the arsenal Mr. Jonathan assembled against the opposition towards the election, conceding was not easy, but he had no choice than to give up, as any killings for refusal to concede would have landed him in trouble. To me, I do not regard him as a statesman necause of the role his wife, himself and associate played in the governance of Nigeria.

That is the whole truth, you dont need to mince word on that……The super power had lost confidnece on him and with OBJ’s influence as an Elder and respected leader Africa peace Negosiator, he would have been swept like Gbagbo……. BODY FOR TELL AM, SO HE HAS TO WEAKLY ACCEPTED HIS WEAKLING AND RETURN BACK TO OTUEOKE IN HIS WEAKNESS.

Mister president you did well in accepting defeat. But that being said, you should have also obeyed the law of the land in curbing the excesses of the petroleum minister and her co hurts, the list you know is endless.

President Elect Buhari, you knew all our problems before you made those promises,I do not want to hear in 2years time that 4years is too short to solve the problems or that Buhari did not cause Nigeria’s problems.if I may advise you, bring all looters to book, stop the looting first, then Nigerian will be patient with you in this first term and will be glad to give you a second term.If you reject my advise,it will hunt you later. You have our full support My President Elect.

GEJ is a Man who lacked vision and political sagacity. GEJ did not have clue he was going to lose the election because he was building his political empire on pack of Cards and political saboteurs. If he were smart and had wisdom he should accepted and implemented the advice given to him by a first class Constitutional Lawyer Prof. Ben Nwabueze as far back as 2013 after visiting him in the Aso Villa which was even made public. He told GEJ to forget about his second Term ambition/re-election bid but rather organize a credible Constitutional Conference and a referendum on it and make it very clear to all Nigerians that he GEJ would not contest under the new Constitution. The new Constitution would have restructured Nigerian into Six Regional Governments and uphold Resource Control and Citizenship rights and other important issues. Prof. Ben Nwabueze told GEJ that after this is done and implemented and for the fact he will not contest that nearly 99.9% of Nigerians will accept the Constitutional amendment and referendum and this will make GEJ an everlasting Hero in Nigeria and Father of new Nigeria. He GEJ would have been an Agent of real CHANGE in Nigeria but GEJ rejected this advice and feeling very confident and 100% sure that he would Win the election declared his second term re-election bid.His defeat in this election is the greatest shame to the supporters of GEJ in Nigeria Political history and it shows lack of strategy, sagacity, vision and absolute cowardice. This defeat will cause a very ugly and gargantuan consequences to GEJ and his appointees when the probe starts and with the help of World Powers the stolen Billions of Dollars will be traced and recovered and prosecution and long term jails for the Culprits who are PDP people will leave an indelible dent on the image of PDP and their supporters that it will be hard to trust the PDP party with the Office of Presidency in future. The APC in coalition with USA/UK and other big Powers brought the defeat to Jonathan and this is in consonance with the regime Change ordered from the White House. What even annoyed the White House most was the refusal of GEJ to fight Corruption or even declare his Assets. So nobody should weep for GEJ as he is the architect of his own waterloo.

Thank God GEJ conceded. Is there any options for him? It would have been catastrophic and will dent GEJ personally and his administration, history may not forgive him for that, therefore GEJ did what he suppose to do by conceding.
