As the number of abandoned and Out-of-School children in Nigeria swells, Regional Programme Director, SOS Children’s Villages, Nigeria, Ayodeji Adelopo has said every Nigerian has a role to better the lot of abandoned children with no family.

Adelopo lamented lack of government’s attention to the less privileged in society, when Royal Foam donated some materials to the centre as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The firm donated 25 pieces of 3×6 mattresses, 25 pillows, bags of rice, mosquito nets, tissue papers and packs of noodles, among others.

Receiving the donations on behalf of the centre, Adelopo said: “We are only able to do the much we can do in term of caring for children with the support of our stakeholders, and when we see corporate bodies like Royal Foam associating and appreciating what we do, it encourages us to do more. We challenge people to take a cue from this gesture, as it has come to the point where everyone has to contribute their quota.

Managing Director, Royal Foam, Rashid Zoueihed, reiterated his firm’s commitment to the plight of less privileged in Nigeria.
