WiM-Africa facilitates $500m opportunity for women miners

Women in Mining Africa (WiM-Africa), yesterday, said that it had secured complimentary full-access passes for female leaders from mid-tier and major mining companies with a market capitalisation above $500 million.

The organisation has also been confirmed as an official Supporting Association Partner for Resourcing Tomorrow/Mines and Money London 2025, scheduled to take place from December 2 to 4, 2025, in London, United Kingdom.

In a statement, WiM-Africa’s Executive Director, Dr Comfort Asokoro-Ogaji, said active WiM-Africa volunteers and staff were also eligible to benefit.

She described the partnership as a milestone in the group’s mission to amplify African women’s voices in global mining and promote gender equity across the mineral value chain.

“Each pass provides full access to the conference programme, exhibition floor, and daily networking receptions with some of the most influential figures in the mining industry, including investors, policymakers, and corporate executives.

“This is more than just an opportunity to attend a global conference; it is a platform for representation. We are ensuring that African women in mining have a seat at the table where decisions on investment, sustainability, and innovation are being shaped.”
