World Food Day: Expo to showcase Nigeria agriculture excellence

Ahead of the World Food Day celebration, organizers of the Nigeria International Agriculture Expo have announced the commencement of the annual event.

The 5th annual Nigeria International Agriculture Expo to be held between October 10 and 12 at the Trade Convention Center, Abuja, aimed at showcasing the country’s agricultural excellence.

The Project Lead, NIAEXPO 2023 Yekeen Kazeem, in a statement signed yesterday, noted that being the first regional agricultural exhibitions, this year’s expo would be dynamic and enriching experience for industry professionals, enthusiasts, and stakeholders alike.

According to him, NIAEXPO aimed at showcasing agricultural innovations and expertise has consistently set the standard for excellence in the agricultural sector, saying this year’s edition will bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including farmers, agricultural machinery manufacturers, horticulturalists and experts in animal husbandry, creating a collaborative platform for innovation and growth.

He said: “The 5th Annual Nigerian International Agriculture Expo is committed to promoting sustainable agriculture practices, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly technologies and encouraging responsible farming methods that address food security and environmental conservation.”

He revealed that the expo will feature cutting-edge exhibition of agricultural machinery, latest in technology on horticulture and plant production technologies and innovations in animal husbandry as well as series of informative sessions led by industry leaders and experts, covering a wide range of topics relevant to modern agriculture.

Kazeem said visitors would also have unparalleled chance to connect with fellow professionals, potential partners, and experts in the field adding that there would be live demonstrations of the latest agricultural machinery and equipment to allow attendees experience firsthand the innovations shaping the industry.
