YMCA solicits funds for development project
As part of its 75-year anniversary celebrations, the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) of Lagos has announced plans to build a N50m youth development centre at Ibeshe community in Ikorodu, Lagos.
At an event to mark the anniversary, the association solicited for fund for the project, which is aimed at bridging the development gap in the community.
Vice Chairman of the association, Ogundimu Abiola urged youth to make themselves more relevant by taking up responsibilities and showing their capabilities because “no adult or leader would leave their seat for young people to take over, but the truth is if the adults are not ready and willing to leave, the young people should put themselves in responsible roles and showcase their strength.”
