Yobe Assembly passes 10 bills into law
The Yobe State House of Assembly has passed 10 bills into law with 11 resolutions in the last one year.
While commemorating one year anniversary of Governor Mai Mala Buni in office, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Ahmed Mirwa said: “In the last one year 10 bills were passed out of 12 into law by the 24-member legislators on the floor of the Assembly.”
He added that eleven resolutions were sent by the Executive arm of government and passed by legislators.
He said those passed include bills for establishment of Yobe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Agency, Yobe State Appropriation Bill, 2019, Yobe State Finance Bill, 2019, and the Yobe State MDAs Revenue Harmonisation Management Agency Bill, 2019.
Others are the Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Bill, 2019, Yobe State Harmonised 17 Councils Finance Bill, 2019, Bill for the establishment of Board for People with disabilities, Yobe State Road Traffic Management Law and the Yobe State House of Assembly Service Commission.
“We have also passed eleven resolutions on term facility for construction of 3600 houses, contract financing facility for completion of the International Cargo Airport, among others,” he said.
