The Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA), has rendered a free healthcare outreach to people with disabilities (PWDs) and other vulnerable groups in Bade Local Government Area of the state.

The outreach centred at the Lawan Musa Primary Health Care Centre, Gashua, provided the vulnerable groups with essential medical consultations, free medications, and health education to more than 1,500 beneficiaries.

Flagging off the medical outreach on Wednesday in Gashua, the Executive Secretary of YSCHMA, Dr. Babagana Tijjani, said that the free medical outreach is to bring healthcare services closer to the people at the grassroots in the state

“The healthcare initiative is specifically targeting the vulnerable groups, ensuring that they all have access to medical consultations along with free medications and medical supplies,” he stated.

Tijjani, therefore expressed the agency’s commitment to ensuring that no one is left out in accessing quality healthcare delivery services in communities.

He added that the medical outreach was designed to alleviate the financial burden of healthcare costs on vulnerable populations in Gashua, stating:”It aligns with the health policy agenda of the Mai Mala Buni-led administration.

Beneficiaries hailed the agency’s efforts, expressing their gratitude for the timely assistance and highlighting the high standard of medical services being rendered to them.

Dr Tijjani announced that similar outreach programmes will be held in other parts of the state in the coming weeks, reinforcing YSCHMA’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery, particularly for thevulnerable residents in the various communities that are heard to reach by road or waterways.
