‘Youth protection crucial for security’

Rotary District 9110 Nigeria recently organized youths from different  schools to lecture them on guiding themselves against molestation in any form, whether by parents or other elders, having in mind the values that make us Africans.

Rotary District 9110 Nigeria recently organized youths from different  schools to lecture them on guiding themselves against molestation in any form, whether by parents or other elders, having in mind the values that make us Africans.

How to separate the negative from the positive of internet usage, to enjoy working hard as against the get-rich-quick syndrome beclouding our society today and many more issues were addressed.

Gbenga Gunzallo, Coordinator, Research and Programme, Women Arise for Change Initative, standing in for Dr. Joe Okei–Odumakin, spoke on youth as victims or perpetrators. He examined gender-based violence and youth in Nigeria.

Femi Emmanuel, a renowed public speaker, gave a lecture on making our world a better place for our youths.

It was indeed what Nigeria needed at a time like this, for the youths to build up their character and care for one another, they said.

Chairman of the day and pass president, Nkem Uju Onyii–Okafor, who gave out A walk in passion” written by her to all the youths at the event, charged interactors and retractors present to henceforth see themselves as ambassadors for preaching the vision and objectives of lecture. He also charged them to protectors themselves and of other youths around them.
