ISN Medical treated children of Idi Araba Orphanage to a Yuletide party. The event, held at Children Centre, Idi-Araba, Mushin Lagos, featured games, talent show, dancing competition and quiz, with Santa Claus presenting gifts to the children and the orphanage’s caregiver.
The firm’s Supply Chain Manager, Mrs. Olamide Akin-Balogun, said it was necessary to celebrate children and caregivers as a way of giving back to the society.
She said: “We are here to give back to society. This is our way of celebrating Christmas with people around us. Moreover, this venue is a close community to us. Having looked around us, we decided to come here to make a difference and put a smile on the faces of the children and the caregivers.
“This is our own way of making people happy and also share their happiness and joy that the season brings and that is the reason why we’re here at The Children’s orphanage at Idi-Araba.
Speaking on why ISN brought mattresses, bedspreads and fibre pillows to the home, among other gifts, Akin-Balogun said: “When we visited the home (before the party) we realised that they had bed frames but some mattresses were missing. So, what we have done now is to fill up all of the mattresses so now they have complete mattresses, and we gave bedspreads to all the children in the home. This is so that they have mattresses, bedspreads, pillowcases and fibre pillows.
“Putting smiles on the faces of the children is important to us because it’s Christmas and it’s the time of love. It’s the time to share and it’s time to give back to society. Also it’s been an interesting year for us at ISN.”
She commended the government for providing a conducive environment for the children, while urging well meaning Nigerians to extend a hand of fellowship to orphanages in the state.
One of the caregivers, Akinsanya Oluwafemi commended ISN for the treat given to the children and urged well meaning Nigerians to continue to show love to children in orphanages.
