
According to him, the verification committee led by the former Chairman of Borno State Universal Basic Education Board (BSUBEB), Dr. Shettima Kullima, reported 7,794 ghost workers out of 22,556 teachers in the 27 local councils of the state.
But the Nigerian Union Teachers (NUT) complained to Zulum that active 624 teachers were erroneously added to the list of ghost workers.
Inaugurating the verification review committee, at the weekend, in Maiduguri, Zulum disclosed: “The committee is to review two reports on teachers’ verification and the biometric data capture of local council staff and education authorities.”
