Zulum presents N134.5b budget for 2020 to Borno Assembly

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has presented N134.5 billion budget to the House of Assembly for consideration and passage into law. According to him, the 2020 budget proposal dropped by 7.5 per cent over last year’s N144.74 billion.

According to him, the 2020 budget proposal dropped by 7.5 percent over last year’s N144.74 billion. While presenting the budget of ‘Recovery and Stabilisation’ yesterday in Maiduguri, he said: “Next year’s recurrent expenditure stood at N67.54 billion (50.4 percent), while capital projects were allocated N66.96 billion (49.7 percent).”He said personnel cost and interventions to manage humanitarian crisis accounted for a marginal decrease in recurrent expenditure.On budget implementation, he said: “The policy direction of this administration is to ensure efficient delivery of the 10-point development agenda.”
