Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has redeployed the Commissioner for Works, Yerima Saleh, to the Ministry of Environment with immediate effect.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Usman Shuwa, in a statement, yesterday, directed Saleh to hand over the affairs of the works ministry to the permanent secretary.
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Kaka Lawan, had been overseeing the environment ministry in the last seven months.
Zulum, therefore, appointed Isa Haladu as the commissioner-designate and member of the State Executive Council (SEC).
The House of Assembly will confirm Haladu in accordance with the 1999 Constitution.
Haladu holds a master’s degree in Architecture from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) and is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA).
“You are to sustain the tempo set by the outgone Commissioner for Environment,” said Shuwa in the statement.
