Education – the key to emancipation

Sir: Beloved, there are more churches and mosques put together than educational institutions on the African continent. This is why it has been so difficult to achieve meaningful progress and development. This is why mediocrity and poverty pervade the land as religion has been the opium of the masses. Knowledge is power.
 
Lack of meaningful education that leads to acquisition of knowledge which in turn brings along with power, is what has kept our continent at the bottom of the ladder of development. To redress this, it is hereby decreed that all Africans and others in the third world between the ages of six and 70 years old, should register at the nearest mosque or church that can provide Internet facilities as viewing and learning centres for the purpose of receiving lectures. All mushroom churches and mosques are hereby proscribed.

Coming on stream is Eunice and Samuel Mofolorunso Ogunjobi Memorial Open Learning Centre the campus of which will be opened on the first day of January 2022, at Ilesa, Osun State will start running skeletal operations to cater for the educational needs of all Africans in the fourth quarter of the year 2021. The Chancellor of the University is Mrs Omolola Hephzibah Alebiosu.

The Vice-Chancellor designate is Professor Akinola Ibidapo-Obe, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor is Professor Olutayo Alebiosu. Members of the Governing Council include the Authentic Owa Obokun of Ijesa land, Oba Oluwole Ogunjobi, Olori Tokunbo Ogunjobi, Mrs Dolapo Ibidapo-Obe, Engr. Rotimi Ogunjobi, Sir and Lady Bolanle Adebayo, the Authentic Ewi of Ekiti land, Oba Bolade Ayo-Ariyo and his jewel of inestimable value, Olori Mofoluke Ayo-Ariyo and Ambassador and Mrs Modupe Adelanwa.  

The Senate includes (the Authentic Obi of Aboh), Mr. Francis Obi, Mr. Donatus Kpaduwa, (the Authentic Head of Igboclan) and his wife. Christopher Abiodun Borha (Authentic Oba of Benin) and his wife, Oba Adesola Kester and Olori Bolanle Kester (The Authentic Alaafin of Oyo), (the Authentic Ruler of Ewe Kingdom in Ghana), Oba Kwame Senaya, (the Authentic Alake of Egba Land, Oba Olanrewaju Ladipo, the Authentic Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Adekunle Tuyo, the authentic Ooni of Ife, Oba Kanmi Ademiluyi, the Authentic Obi of Onitsha, Oba Chuke Louis Etuka, Oba Babatunde Adio (the Authentic Olubadan of Ibadan Land), Snr. Bodunrin Soyode, (the Authentic Oba of Irele Kingdom), Oba Solomon Àdedoyin Iwakun,(the Authentic Ado Oko of Idoko), Oba Ayotunde Osunloye and others that may be co-opted to support them in this onerous task.

A total overhaul of the existing educational curriculum currently patterned after the standards laid down by our erstwhile colonial masters forms the basic focus of the educational institution.  

The facility is open to prospective students from all over the world.
