I agree with you NYSC is a clarion call. But what of a situation where a female youth copper will come to orientation camp with a new baby or pregnancy? I wonder what contribution she will make during the one year service because most part of the year will be devoted to nursing the child. No bank, military or paramilitary will accept that for a new staff or recruit. What support does they provide for the growth of the national economy? What experience will they say they gain for the year? I am hearing this view due to experience. During my service year, I was really challenged and I acquired a lot skills and experience. I think pregnancy should be stopped during the service year. Let female coppers wait till after their assignment before “MAKING” babies.
