Why armed bandits are torturing northwest
Sir: Permit me to commend Eyitanwa Ọladipupọ-Lawal and Ọlaniyi Awẹda (aka Yoruba father), both on Sobi FM, for the investigation on the claim that the new coronavirus (COVID-19) has claimed two lives in Kogi State, Nigeria, while a spokesman for the government challenged the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to produce evidence that any Kogite died from coronavirus, or in any coronavirus isolation centre. The man said no Imam or Chief Justice died in any coronavirus isolation centre in the state or in Abuja. May God Almighty continue to bless the Governor, Yahya Bello, for his refusal to be part of the coronavirus scam. His name will be written in Silva. I am likewise challenging the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasak, to produce impeccable evidence that coronavirus killed anybody in Kwara State.
Never, armed bandits will not stop trailing Nigeria’s northwest, because the late president Umaru Musa Yar’Adua who started the attacks on the Boko Haram Islamic sect-community of men, women and children that did not attack anybody until attacked by government forces in the northeast, hailed from Katsina State in the northwest. That was 2009-2010. And his deputy, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who succeeded him, perpetuated the attacks, 2011-2015, squandering human lives and economic resources; killing, maiming and displacing northeastern populations. Rather than bringing peace, the current President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (GMB), who hails from Katsina State like Yar’Adua, intensified the war against Boko Haram, inflicting the worst forms of human degradation on the northeast, on the security agencies of Nigeria, on the economy and on human lives as a whole.
Is it not madness and height of dishonesty, to be equating coronavirus in Nigeria with coronavirus in China, Europe and America and lock down young and old peoples, without minding that hunger is killing them? That is why I have been describing Nigeria rulers as sadists, from Yar’Adua to Jonathan, David Mark, Aminu Tambuwal, Tinuubuu, Oshiomhole, Osinbajo, et al who have aided and abetted the war against Boko Haram, the election and re-election of GMB, etc. No, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is not better than the All Progressives Congress (APC), because any political party or persons rejecting rotational presidency, in favour of survival of the fittest, cannot wish Nigeria well. Governor Abdullahi Ganduje created four new emirates in Kano State with public funds. Is that a responsible person? That is the prevalent mentality among the Christian and Muslim rulers of Nigeria.
