The Abia State Chapter of the City Boy Movement (CBM) has stated it has laid solid foundation across the state, asserting that it has also been well positioned to play a leading role in advancing the goals of the Movement in the state.

The CBM is said to be a Nigerian youth-driven political support group that is backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, and his re-election bid for second term in 2027.

This claim follows the successful inauguration of the CBM Ward, Local Government and State Executives, including Polling Unit heads.

With the executives and Polling Unit teams in place across all the 17 LGAs, the Abia chapter is said to have established a strong and fully functional grassroots structure.

” The State CBM Chapter, which is driven proactively, by the State Director , Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has also emerged as one of the most organized and effective arms of the movement in the country”.

It was gathered that CBM started as youth empowerment/political sensitization in 2022, but became, since 2024, an overt political mobilization machine for Tinubu 2027.

In its bid to build youth support for president Tinubu’s reelection, CBM allegedly blends charity/palliatives, organizes empowerment rallies at the grassroots, etc
