2027: Salvador flags off Lagos West senate campaign, urges indigenes to vote NDC

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC)

Honourable Moshood Adegboke Salvador has officially flagged off his campaign for the Lagos West Senatorial District seat under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At the campaign flag-off, Salvador called on Lagos indigenes to protect their cultural heritage, reclaim their political influence and support the NDC at the polls.

He stressed that political representation must go beyond occupying public office, urging candidates to identify the specific challenges they intend to address before seeking elective positions.

Salvador criticised elected representatives who, according to him, fail to deliver on their responsibilities, insisting that the interests of the electorate must remain their priority.

The NDC senatorial candidate also expressed concern over the alleged mistreatment of Nigerians in some African countries, calling for stronger action by Nigerian leaders to protect citizens’ rights and dignity abroad.

He maintained that the National Assembly should take concrete steps, including considering diplomatic measures where necessary, to address cases of alleged abuse against Nigerians in foreign countries.

Salvador further urged voters to make independent political choices and resist financial inducements during elections, emphasising the need for accountability and effective representation.

He said the campaign flag-off marked the beginning of efforts to reach voters across the 10 local government areas of Lagos West Senatorial District, assuring them that his ambition was driven by a desire to address the challenges affecting their communities.
