Though members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) represent the three senatorial districts in Ondo State in the National Assembly, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared that there are only two APC senators in the state.

Akeredolu said this, yesterday, at the unification rally held at the Moshood Kashimawo Abiola (MKO) Democracy Park, Akure, to commemorate the one-year anniversary of his administration and unite aggrieved party members.

Meanwhile, there have been pockets of internal crises within the party, being the aftermath of the controversial September 3, 2016 gubernatorial primaries, resulting in two factions led by Engr. Ade Adetimehin and Mr. Isaac Kekemeke.
