APC denies suspending congresses
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted media reports that it has suspended its local councils and state congresses.
Secretary to the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, disclosed that the exercise would tentatively be held in the first week of September 2021.
Akpanudoedehe, in a statement, reiterated its earlier stance that dates and guidelines for the local council congresses would be fixed after the conclusion of the ward congresses.
The party assured its supporters of its commitment to credible, transparent and participatory congresses leading to the national convention.
