In a show of unity and political realignment, prominent leaders from the Kwande-Ushongo axis of Benue State have adopted Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, as their undisputed political leader.
The endorsement came during a high-level solidarity visit to Senator Akume at his residence in Abuja on Sunday, bringing together political actors from across party lines who declared their commitment to following his leadership regardless of affiliations.
Drawn from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), and other political groups, the delegation declared that their support for Akume transcends partisan boundaries and personal ambition.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Vincent Uji and E Atsaga Anemba commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Senator Akume to the nation’s third most powerful office, describing the move as a timely recognition of loyalty, competence, and proven leadership.
“Senator George Akume has, over the years, exemplified selfless service, political maturity, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Benue State and Nigeria at large,” the representatives said. “He remains our most trusted and dependable political compass.”
