Buhari promises continuous infrastructural development in South West
President Muhammadu Buhari has promised continuous infrastructural development in the Southwest. Buhari gave the assurance, yesterday, during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign at Mapo Hall, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Speaking during the campaign attended by party bigwigs, including Governors Kayode Fayemi, Abiola Ajimobi, Minister of Communications, Bayo Shittu and others, the President said his administration had worked hard over the years to ensure that there is infrastructural development in the region, which is why Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Ameachi and that of Works, Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola are working hard to ensure that rail projects and the Lagos-Ibadan road are done before end of the year.
Urging the people to explore benefits in agriculture, Buhari disclosed that he had pleaded with the governors to tell the people to go into the sector to benefit from fertilizers being distributed by the Federal Government.He used the opportunity to hand over the APC flag to the party’s standard-bearer in the state, Adebayo Adelabu. In his remark, Vice-president Yemi Osinbajo said the country would not go backward but to the next level.
