Renowned cleric and founder of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has urged Governor Abiodun Oyebanji to leverage his re-election to run an inclusive government in Ekiti State, just as he successfully brought critical stakeholders together ahead of the election.
In a statement issued on his behalf by his Personal Assistant, Deji Ogunbusuyi, the cleric advised Governor Oyebanji to operate an all-inclusive administration that carries along all stakeholders, political groups and communities in the collective task of developing Ekiti State and taking it to greater heights during his second term.
Prophet Alo also commended President Bola Tinubu, security agencies and, particularly, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the peaceful conduct of last Saturday’s governorship election. He expressed optimism that future elections across the country would follow the Ekiti example, with further improvements by INEC.
Describing Oyebanji’s victory as a reflection of the people’s trust in his leadership and performance, the cleric praised the people of Ekiti for conducting themselves in a peaceful and disciplined manner throughout the electoral process.
He urged the governor to consolidate on the achievements that earned him another mandate, noting that residents rewarded Oyebanji’s commitment to infrastructure development, agriculture and welfare programmes with a fresh four-year term.
The cleric stressed the need for the governor to create an enabling environment for peace and security across the state, noting that sustainable development can only thrive where unity and safety are guaranteed.
He further advised Oyebanji to remain humble, accessible and responsive to the needs of the people, adding that servant leadership would sustain the goodwill he currently enjoys among Ekiti residents.
“The re-election of the governor shows the love and confidence Ekiti people have in him. He should not disappoint the people who have entrusted him with another mandate. The governor should continue to ensure the security of lives and property across the state.
“He should provide grants for traders, artisans, and market men and women, while sustaining ongoing road projects across the state. Having become the first person to govern Ekiti State for two consecutive terms, he should ensure that the people never regret re-electing him,” he said.
The cleric also prayed for divine wisdom, strength and protection for Governor Oyebanji as he begins a new tenure, expressing confidence that God would guide him to deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Governor Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured re-election in the just-concluded Ekiti State governorship election.
His victory has continued to attract congratulatory messages from political leaders, traditional rulers and religious figures across the country.
