While speaking through its Public Relation Officer (PRO), Comrade Odo Emeka, the group also urged the governor to operate an inclusive government should he win the 2019 gubernatorial election. Emeka noted that though the governor had surpassed his predecessors in engaging the youths, he stressed that there was room for more improvement. The PRO also pledged support for the governor and urged him to consider them for employment and political positions, adding that many of them were educated.
He said: “The past government did not give room for all inclusive governance where the rich and the poor, the educated and the uneducated, the business cum market men and those in cooperate offices participated and discussed matters as they related to governance and the masses in Enugu State. We, as a body, discovered how liberal the present government, led by Ugwuanyi, accommodates constructive criticism from civil society groups, social media family and influencers and deem itself fit to partner with the government to identify areas of needs and how best to take those needs to the villages involved. The Fact, we found today, distance is no more a barrier for one to participate in government, as technology has succeeded in making the world a global village.
“Among us are people who are educated, capable to hold positions but never had any opportunity. As we are seated here, we have people who need empowerment but they don’t. We once again establish that re-election of governor Ugwuanyi calls for a concerted effort by all lovers of good governance and it is for this reason our partnership seal today is important.
The group also applauded the governor for the extension of road projects in the state while urging him to develop Igboeze North Local Government.
