Guber Election: Ukachukwu, Ekwunife list gains of aligning Anambra with APC

A Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8, 2025, election in Anambra State, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, have listed gains of aligning the state with the government at the centre.

Both spoke at the Thank You Tour of Njikoka Local Council of Anambra State and the inauguration of Ward Campaign Councils in the state.

Ukachukwu, who addressed a mammoth crowd at the ancient Obu Nri Civic Centre, Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Council, said Anambra State has the best opportunity to vote for APC in the forthcoming election to actualise the alignment that is beneficial to the state developmentally.

The APC standard bearer declared that his mission in the race was to correct the anomalies being perpetrated in the governance of the state over the years, stressing that his candidature offers the state an opportunity to align with the Federal Government.

Ukachukwu explained that re-aligning with the Federal Government is in the best interest of the state, adding: Ais real – not a slogan. Our people have been deceived for far too long. The time to move forward is now.”

Equally addressing the crowd, Ekwunife described the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as an orphan since the party doesn’t exist outside the state.

Ekwunife noted that the state electorate are being deceived with the slogan “Nkea bu nke anyi’ (this one is our own); clarifying that APC is the proper party to align with since it controls the government at the centre.

She faulted claims by APGA faithful that President Bola Tinubu threw his weight behind the re-election bid of Governor Chukwuma Soludo during his recent working visit to the state.
