Kastina ex-governor, Shema canvasses support for Olusola
Former Katsina State Governor, Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, has implored Ekiti people to support the PDP candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola Eleka.Shema made the appeal in Ekiti after touring various projects executed by Governor Ayo Fayose. He told the people that the July 14 poll would be a straight choice between progress and stagnation.
He charged them not to toy with the mileage that the state has attained in education and human development index, adding that he was impressed by the level of infrastructural development in the state within a space of four years.
The ex-governor tasked the people to reciprocate Fayose’s service-delivery by voting to ensure continuity.“Governor Fayose has proved himself as a true son of Ekiti and Nigeria. It takes courage, perseverance, vision and determination to achieve all these in so short a time.
“I saw first hand, what he has been able to achieve in the area of infrastructure and education. For two years, the state has continuously maintained the lead in the West African School Council (WASC) examinations.
“We are proud of his achievements, as Ekiti is like my state Katsina, where we value education. Education is the key that unlocks doors of opportunities.Shema said voting for Olusola Eleka would be buying two at the price of one, remarking that having been deputy to Fayose for four years, he is the best candidate for the position. He added that Olusola Eleka’s 24 years in the academia is a big boom for education and socio-economic development in the state, adding that it is now time for Ekiti to move higher.
He said: Having moved from Fayemi to Fayose, it is now time to elevate to Olusola_Eleka.While cautioning against violence, Shema stressed that a vote for Olusola would give them a government of the people and not for one man, or a few people. “It is going to be power to the people,” he said.
