Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has commended the election of Raheem Adedoyin into the governing board of the International Press Institute (IPI) in Vienna, Austria.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Rafiu Ajakaye, at the weekend, the governor described former IPI secretary’s election as a great honour for an outstanding media professional and administrator.
“This is a great honour to us in Kwara and Nigeria as a whole,” the governor said.
IN another development, the governor has confirmed the approval of the location in Ilorin of a federal neuropsychiatric hospital for the North Central Zone.
According to him, the approval is a dream come true for the administration and the three senators from Kwara, especially Senator Yahya Oloriegbe (Kwara Central), the Chairman, Senate Committee on Health, who worked hard to make it happen.
The governor’s confirmation came on the heels of a communication by the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora, conveying President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval for the facility in Budo Egba, Asa Local Council of Kwara.
