Immediate past Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Heineken Lokpobiri, has ruled out his second coming. Instead, he would vie for the November 16, 2019 Bayelsa governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The former speaker of the state House of Assembly dropped the hint during his handover in Abuja. At the event, outgoing Minister Audu Ogbeh predicted victory for his ex-colleague, stating that the declaration fulfill his earlier prophesy that Lokpobiri would one day governor of the oil-rich state.

He submitted: “My younger brother here by the grace of God is going to be the Governor of Bayelsa State. When we began, I kept telling him that he was going to be the governor. I am not a prophet but I will like to be one.”
