Says President’s reforms, indication to better things ahead
A member representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency of Ogun State in the National Assembly, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI), has said that President Bola Tinubu deserves re-election, stressing that the economic policies of the current administration remain the best.
Isiaka, who spoke at a media parley in Abeokuta, the state capital, said that the current positive trajectory of the nation’s economy, driven by Tinubu’s bold leadership, was an indication to a prosperous nation ahead.
He said that the essence of Tinubu’s leadership is not necessarily to take the nation through the easiest route but to lead the country through the right route that would bring desired result.
Isiaka noted that despite challenges trailing the President’s tough reforms, particularly fuel subsidy removal and naira floatation, the reforms had within a short time seen Nigeria’s reserves getting better, the exchange rate stabilising and inflation going down.
He added that the country’s economy is looking positively upward with Tinubu’s bold reforms, saying that instead of taking the easy path that offers short-term gain but long-term pain, the President has chosen a courageous and necessary leap which should be commended by Nigerians.
He noted that the bold leadership of the current administration and its renewed hope agenda had created the enabling policy framework for meaningful reforms across the nation.
