Peter Obi will join us in APC – Bwala

The Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has said former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will dump the Labour Party (LP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an appearance on TVC on Wednesday, Bwala said members of the LP are dumping the party for the APC.
He said, “Do you know we are emptying the Labour Party? It’s not because we go and ask them to come; they are coming. Valentine Ozigbo has joined us. Balami has joined us. Even Peter Obi will join us.”
Bwala further stated that Obi will not contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the LP, adding that there will be problems in any coalition he joins.
He said all such a coalition needs is just two weeks of media coverage, after which members will start to tear each other apart due to their conflicting ambitions.
The presidential spokesperson also had words to say concerning a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who dumped the APC for the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Monday.
According to him, El-Rufai needed a small party where he could control things.
“The reason El-Rufai didn’t go to the PDP is because there’s structure there. He can’t go and detect things for them,” he said.
