Following the victory of Mrs. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial ticket in Kogi Central are petitions from six aspirants to the ticket.

The lawyer emerged winner of the primary election, yesterday, at the Khahal Cinema in Okene with 159 of the 173 accredited delegates to top the list.

The Returning Officer (RO), Mohammed Hassan, announced the result. Akpoti-Uduaghan defected from Social Democratic Party (SDP) to PDP to contest the senatorial primary election. Mahmud Attah came a distant second with 13 votes, while others got no vote.
