Eligible voters in Katsina State have been urged to renew the mandates of President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2027 for more prosperity and people-oriented policies and programmes.
Governor Dikko Radda stated this Wednesday evening during the flagging off of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 campaign in Funtua Local Government Area.
Radda, who commended President Tinubu for bold reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledged that the state would continue to align its policies to complement federal initiatives for greater impact
He said the flag-off is not just about politics, but an opportunity to present his stewardship under the Building Your Future Agenda, listen to the people and renew commitment to a more secure, prosperous and inclusive Katsina State.
He said his administration has placed security at the centre of governance, working closely with security agencies, traditional institutions and the Federal Government to restore lasting peace.
“Without peace, economic activities suffer, children cannot go to school, and farmers cannot go to farm. We will sustain the momentum until every resident can go about his lawful business without fear,” he said.
Radda further highlighted massive investments in road construction, urban renewal and energy solutions, describing Funtua as a strategic commercial hub critical to agricultural trade and job creation.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to farmers, MSMEs, women and youth through enabling environment for entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and private-sector growth.
He added that his administration is strengthening schools, teachers, primary healthcare and expanding health insurance for vulnerable residents.
He charged APC candidates and stakeholders to campaign with humility, discipline and respect for democratic choice, while urging party leaders and grassroots mobilizers across the 34 councils and 361 wards to sustain unity, peaceful mobilization and door-to-door engagement.
Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, said president Tinubu is repositioning the national economy, while governor Radda is delivering tangible results at the grassroots.
Dangiwa, who commended people in the council for a large turnout at the event, urged members of the APC to strengthen party structures for total victory.
On his part, the state APC Chairman, Dr. Bishir Saulawa, described the flag-off as consolidation of party strength.
Saulawa also presented party flags and banners to candidates contesting three senatorial, 15 House of Representatives and 34 State Assembly seats, charging them to prioritize collective interest and effective representation.
