Tinubu seeks unity among Oyo APC members ahead of 2027
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday, admonished leaders and other stakeholders in the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to put aside their differences and work together in their bid to wrest power from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.
The President, who stated this, yesterday, during the maiden edition of the Lam Adesina yearly lecture series in Ibadan, said that the state was too important to be missing among the progressives’ fold.
Tinubu, who was represented at the occasion by the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, recalled that the late Adesina was a champion of democracy, who also earned himself a place of pride in the nation’s history as a result of his exceptional bravery and commitment to the ideals of service to humanity and good governance.
The Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, represented by Senator Shuaib Salisu, emphasised the need for Nigerians to rediscover the value system that would encourage citizens to be more responsible, morally upright and diligent as against the culture of indiscipline, avarice and corruption.
