Maiyaki, who was Director General, Media and Publicity to the former governor, said Kaduna State requires political emergency to exit its current quagmire.
According to him, the state is currently bedevilled with insecurity ranging from kidnapping, cattle rustling, unwarranted killings, and abject poverty.
Maiyaki is supporting the immediate past Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Mohammed Sani Sidi, who is aspiring to contest the seat, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He said all hands must be on the deck to change the present government of Nasir el-Rufai of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He spoke yesterday at his residence during a forum with journalists to mark the Sallah celebration.
