Firm seeks architects’ support for local building materials
Ogun-based firm, Messrs CDK Industries has appealed to architects under the aegis of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) to ensure continuous support for locally produced materials that meet international standards.
The Managing Director, Bernard Longe, who appealed for the introduction of its ultra polish collection at the 2024 Archibuilt Exhibition held in Abuja, said the collaboration between CDK and the NIA has been instrumental in driving its success and credibility in the industry.
The gathering provided a platform for architects, industry professionals, and CDK executives to connect, exchange ideas, and explore cutting-edge solutions that continue to shape the future of the country’s architecture.
Longe said: “Our Ultra Polish Collection is a reflection of our commitment to innovation and excellence, and we are thrilled to unveil it at such a prestigious event like Archibuilt.”
He added that hosting the networking dinner alongside the NIA was aimed at creating a space for meaningful engagement and collaboration with the country’s top architects.
During the dinner, the participants including NIA executives and over 100 leading architects engaged CDK representatives on product development, material innovation, and future industry collaborations.
The interaction provided valuable insights into the evolving needs of architects and highlighted potential areas for further collaboration. Attendees also shared recommendations for specific product features and gave feedback on how CDK could support the architectural community through tailored solutions and partnerships.
NIA President, Mobolaji Adeniyi, said: “CDK has demonstrated that they are a trusted partner in Nigerian architecture, providing solutions that enable us to build sustainably and beautifully.”
According to the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Billakurti Srinivasarao, this year’s edition provided an opportunity to engage with key industry players, particularly architects who are at the forefront of designing Nigerian cities.
