Winners emerge in Lagos ‘win a home’ lottery

Six winners have emerged in the ‘win a home lottery’ scheme organised by the home lottery limited, Lagos in partnership with Locke Homes.

Six winners have emerged in the ‘win a home lottery’ scheme organised by the home lottery limited, Lagos in partnership with Locke Homes.

The winners were announced after a draw was conducted from about 1,617 entries received.

Conducting the draw at the firm’s head office in Lekki, an official who supervised the process, Mr. Demeji Ogunyemi said Mr. Adegbola Olushola Enoch won the grand price, which is a built three-bedroom house in a secured location. Two others winners got a 32inches flat screen television while the other two won a generating sets.

The ‘win a home’ scheme was introduced by Home lottery Limited in 2013. It’s a scheme for anybody to be a landlord with only N250.

In an address at the event, the General Manager of the company, Oladimeji Oguntoyibo said the scheme is registered with the National Lottery Board, the Lagos State Lottery Board and monitored by the Consumer Protection Council to ensure that it is scam free and boost confidence of those participating.

“On every draw day, the Home Lottery Limited gives out a Grand prize of a three (3) Bedroom house and consolation prizes to lucky winners, the scheme involves everybody with terms and conditions attached. Those who are interested have three platforms to play. These include, text message, the Internet and agent with the home lottery device (POS)”, he stated.

Speaking at the occasion, the head, Lagos office, Consumer Protection Council, Mrs. Susie Onwuka said the involvement of the council in the process was to ensure that consumers get value for their money.

“When there are promos like this, we want to ensure that they are genuine, transparent and fair. We also ensure that people get whatever they are promised in through the promo. Now that we have witnessed the draw, we will check all the prices stated here today to be original. Incase you are the winners don’t get your price, come to the council and we will be able to intervene”.

Representative of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Mr. Nnakaenyi Johnpaul who also witnessed the draw said existing lottery regulatory act in the country makes sure that every process is certified to ensure that those participating in any lottery process are not short-changed.

He attested to the fact that the process leading to the emergence of the winner has been thoroughly supervised by the NLRC.

He said, “We are making sure that everything about lottery process in Nigeria is transparent and no Nigeria should be short-changed to make sure that Nigerians develop interest and trust in lottery system. The act is used to regulate every lottery process in the country. The home lottery process has also gone through the certification process”.
