Again, Ooni Of Ife finds Love

After three failed marriages, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has found love once again. Mariam Anako, the new wife of the Ooni arrived late on Tuesday, at the palace of the monarch in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

She was ushered into the palace after brief rites at the entrance to the premises, and was thereafter led into the inner court of the palace to meet her husband and other guests waiting to receive her. Preparations are already in top gear to properly usher her in traditionally.

Chiefs and close aides assisted Oba Ogunwusi in welcoming his new wife into the palace. Also, the compere at the ceremony mentioned Ooni elder brother, Sooko Adegboyega Ogunwusi, and the monarch’s other siblings, as being present also.

It would be recalled that an introduction ceremony had earlier taken place about a month ago.

From Kogi State, Mariam grew up in Kwara State. She is a top shot at Nest Oil and a sister to the Yeye Oge of Ibogun Olaoparun Kingdom, Dr Railiat Anako Abdulsalam, a politician cum Oil and Gas mogul. Abdulsalam is an ally to two of Ooni of Ife‘s sisters, Folashade Ogunwusi Fadiro and Shola Ogunwusi.
