AI Technology to revolutionize user experience (UX) for digital products
In an era of rapid technological advancement, artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a game-changer for the digital product landscape.
Leveraging AI’s capabilities, startup and businesses can now unlock a lot of opportunities to enhance user experiences and drive customer satisfaction which will lead to product growth and customer acquisition in the eco system. Today, we have the privilege of speaking with Najeeb Abubakar, an entrepreneur and a leading industry expert in tech and design, to gain valuable insights into how AI are poised to revolutionize the user experience for digital products.
Najeeb has extensive years of experience as a design leader working on world class digital products for both national and international companies that has helped solve real life problems. He is a Co-founder of multiple successful businesses which are GMB Agency, Agrohq Ltd, Minifurs Design, also member of established institutions like the Design Leadership Forum by Invision, The Chartered Institute of Marketing and many more. Najeeb, an authority in the field of digital product’s user Experience & user Interface (UX/UI), begins by explaining how AI is transforming the digital product landscape. “AI brings a whole new level of intelligence and personalization to digital products. By leveraging machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and data analytics, AI-powered systems can understand user preferences, predict their needs, and offer tailored experiences which will increase the number of active users for digital platforms because of the seamless ease it brings,” Najeeb says.
When asked about the specific ways in which AI integrations enhance user experience, Najeeb highlights several key aspects. “One of the most significant impacts of AI is improved personalization,” Najeeb asserts.
“With AI, digital products can dynamically adapt to individual user preferences, offering personalized recommendations, content, and services. This level of customization creates a more engaging and relevant user experience. AI has the ability to adapt to the frequent features used by a user and then customise experience based on this”
Najeeb further elaborates on how AI empowers digital products to provide seamless and intuitive interactions.
“Through natural language processing, chatbots, and voice assistants, AI enables more natural and conversational interactions between users and digital interfaces,” Najeeb explains. “This does not only enhances convenience but also allows for more efficient and effective completion of tasks. I mean we can see the likes of “Midjourney” used to create images just by explaining the kind of image idea you have in your head and it helps you generate the picture . And also the use of Chatgpt making information search and content generation much more easier for people.”
The conversation moves towards the role of AI in automating repetitive and mundane tasks. Najeeb emphasizes, “AI-powered automation can offload routine tasks, Faster execution, freeing up users’ time and increasing mental energy. This allows users to focus on higher-value activities and ultimately leads to a more satisfying experience.”
However, Najeeb also acknowledges the importance of responsible AI implementation especially for new startups implementing these features. “As we embrace AI’s potential, it’s crucial to ensure ethical use and transparency,” Najeeb cautions.
“User trust is paramount, and organizations must be transparent about how AI is being used, protect user data privacy, and address any biases or ethical concerns that may arise. Reason why I am pointing this is out is because when we imagine the level of advancement of AI in the next couple of years then I am sure it will be difficult to differentiate the things done by AI and a Real person”
Looking to the future, Najeeb predicts exciting advancements in AI-driven user experiences. “We can expect even more natural and intuitive interfaces, advanced personalization, and predictive capabilities, “ It will also serve as a great benefit for users in Nigeria because AI-powered technologies can improve accessibility for individuals with disabilities. For instance, AI-based voice assistants can assist visually impaired users in interacting with digital products, while text-to-speech and speech-to-text capabilities can enhance communication for individuals with hearing impairments” .
Najeeb forecasts. “As AI continues to evolve, digital products will become smarter, seamlessly integrating into users’ lives and delivering exceptional experiences, which converts to product growth because of the seamless user experience.” He further explained on the advantage of accessibility in User experience when it comes to AI He says “Integrating AI technology in digital products will also allow older people or physically challenged people use product without any hassle which removes the limitation of age and accessibility when using digital products. An example is Using AI voice control to navigate through the entire function of a digital device which is already existing and being improved like Siri, Alexa, Google voice assistant”
While ending the conversation, Najeeb emphasizes the transformative potential of AI integrations for the user experience in digital products. “With AI, we have the opportunity to create more intuitive, personalized, and efficient experiences for users. By harnessing the power of AI technology, businesses can truly elevate their digital products and foster stronger connections with their customers. Having a seamless user experience increases customer acquisition and I believe AI integrations will help to achieve that”
As we bid farewell to Najeeb Abubakar, it is clear that AI is poised to reshape the landscape of user experience(UX) in the digital realm. The possibilities are immense, and organizations that embrace AI integrations are well-positioned to unlock new dimensions of user satisfaction, customer acquisition and loyalty in this fast-evolving digital age.
