Bryann reveals why DJ Maphorisa connected with his sound

Upcoming music act Bryan Ebuka Chiji, otherwise known as Bryann, who just released a new song, Need Luvin, is relishing the influence of South African star artiste, DJ Maphorisa on his music.

The singer, who is promoting his new sensational Afro Pop song not only brings fresh looks but also good music to the table. According to the singer, his music versatility was noticed by DJ Maphorisa during a chance meeting in South Africa giving birth to a couple of collaborations.

“I met Dj Maphorisa through a big person in the industry, he then asked me to come to South Africa, at the time I had just released one of my singles Thank God and it had a lot of South African influences. So, I’m guessing he felt I had a bit of the Southi vibe in me, which is actually true.

“We did a lot of songs when I was in South Africa with him ranging from trap to Afro pop, gqom… I guess he liked the fact that I could easily switch through genres and still maintain my sound,” he noted.

Need Luvin’ features Laime, who is Bryann’s close friend and long time collaborator. The track is an R&B soothing song with a fusion of Afro Pop. Co-produced by Jay Synth and the singer, Need Luvin gets a boost with a new video shot in Mauritius by Nitin of Lutch Media. The song is currently available on all major streaming platforms as well as Radio and TV stations across the country.
