For his deep interest and love for culture and films, particularly films by Dr. Tunde Kelani’s Mainframe productions, Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji was at the weekend declared as the president of Mainframe Films Fan Club.

The iconic filmmaker, Kelani who made the declaration said the appointment was with immediate effect.  Kelani, who spent the whole of the Christmas and New Year holiday in Ikogosi, Ekiti State also hinted that the governor had ‘graciously accepted the position’.

“I am struggling to find the right words to thank Governor Oyebanji, his entourage and the lovers of cultural films who sat for more than three hours last night to watch O Le Ku 1 & 2 back-to-back at the Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort. The governor was present every night of the six-day of TK Cultural Films Showcase between Christmas and the New Year.  For his deep interest and love for Mainframe films and the hospitality at the special reception at his Ikogosi home, we have declared him the president of Mainframe Films Fan Club and the governor has graciously accepted the position’’. Recall that Moviedom reported here last week that the filmmaker had been in Ikogosi since December 23 for a cultural film fiesta which took place at the newly renovated amphi-theatre of the warm springs resort.
