Afrobeat megastar, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has postponed the dates for his 2023 European tour.
According to the self-proclaimed Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O), the dates for the tour, which hitherto was scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year, has been moved to the first quarter of 2024.
In a statement issued via his social media handle, the Assurance crooner stated that the postponement would give him and his team more time to sort out production hitches they are currently facing in the attempt to give fans a better show.
The award winning artiste also announced that his Manchester show would be his last European date for 2023, while the remaining date would be rescheduled for 2024.
“One of my greatest joys this year has been reconnecting with all of you during my TimelessTour. I’ve been humbled to see so many of you show up at sold-out shows across North America and Dubai. The energy has been incredible, bless you all.
“Please accept my heartfelt apologies, but as I have said, there is a time for everything, and I believe that taking a few months now to make your experience perfect will be time well spent. For anyone who has already purchased tickets, please hold on to new dates coming soon. Peace and love,” Davido said.
As one of Africa’s biggest music exports and a major force in the promotion of Afrobeats to a global audience, Davido released Timeless, his fourth album on March 31, 2023, which went on to break multiple Nigerian streaming records.
