For young and rising entrepreneur, Prince Adekunle Abdul, the number of hardworking Nigerians struggling with shelter is a worrisome issue. To him, owning a home should not be seen as luxury, but necessity. In developed countries, once someone has a good job and is credit worthy, there is no reason not to own a property.

Based on this fact, Adekunle, who runs a Victoria Island, Lagos-based oil and gas company, has been thinking of solutions to the challenge.

The investor, who got his oil trading licence at the age of 26, has done pretty well in the petroleum sector and now wants to extend to the Lagos fast-developing property market through his new real estate company, Metro and Castles.

Adekunle is all out to build affordable houses for people out there in a serene environment with good social amenities. Having already delivered a posh shopping mart, Metro Mall, in the swanky part of Lekki, he is now investing in affordable mini-luxury thematic home destinations.

Last Sunday, the 37-year-old handsome dude officially unveiled the Phase 1 of the homes and the four-room duplexes, already fully subscribed and paid for, which is located in the serene Sangotedo area of Lekki, with facilities such as gym, swimming pool and playground for children, among others.

The half-Nigerian, half-Ghanaian is happily married to Marita Ayodele, second daughter of famous natural health expert, Dr. Quincy Ayodele.
