Call it a show of style, and you would be right, as lovers of complete fashion from around the world made their way to the Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos last weekend for the fashion show segment of the Africa Creative Market (ACM).

Guests were treated to diverse breathtaking contemporary, avant-garde and unique clothing pieces for both men and women of impeccable taste in fashion, displayed by models on the catwalk.

The show which was tagged FashionEVO and powered by The YD Company (TYDC) featured seven premium Nigerian fashion brands – Henri Uduku, Cute Saint, Mmakamba, Skentele by Etti, Joseph Ejiro and Bola Yahaya. It was headlined by Ejiro Amos Tafiri.

The show took educative and creative dimensions when TYDC, in partnership with SOAAK102 and Designer Tasha, facilitated a pitch competition themed ‘Trash to Glam.’ It was aimed at promoting a carbon-neutral fashion industry for designers to create fashion pieces in an eco-friendly way to reduce environmental hazard.

Shortlisted participants showcased their pieces, and the winner was awarded $500, celebrity styling and an international magazine feature. The evening also featured fast emerging musical artistes – Deborah Gold and Litovibes – who serenaded the audience with great music and ultimately incredible vibes and energy.
