Nonnistics set to showcase at New York Fashion Week

One of the country’s fast-rising and versatile design houses, Nonnistics, will be participating at the prestigious New York Fashion Week in the first week of next month.

Nonnistics, a versatile design house based in Lagos, first debuted internationally at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week in Accra last year and was at this event the brand unveiled its soon-to-be-launched bridal line which has since become one of the top bridal brands in Nigeria. This is mega for the budding clothing label, which started full operations in November 2017.

Creative Director of the brand, Nonye Goodie-Obi, who will be representing the country this year, will be showcasing the ERIN collection on Saturday, September 7, at the Pier 59, Chelsea Piers, New York. The fashion week, which will be taking place from September 5 to 11, has other top brands showcasing such as Margret Garisson (USA), Empire Collection (UK), Arti (Australia), Lontessa (Singapore) amongst a host of others. The NYFW is a staple in the yearly fashion calendar that attracts thousands of visitors, industry experts and players every year and major fashion trends are set there.
 
In October 2018, Goodie-Obi won an industry award as The Most Versatile Designer of the Year and was nominated for another industry award alongside older brands for The Best Designer of The Year Award.
